Tel Aviv hotels are planning to lay off some 500 employees after Sukkot, following one of the worst holiday seasons in Israel’s tourist history. Hotels in Tel Aviv currently are employing around 2,500 workers, down from 5,000, according to the Tel Aviv Hotel Association.
