THE MAYOR ASSAILED THE ROYAL COMMISSION’S PLAN TO CREATE A JEWISH STATE EXCLUDING SOME OF PALESTINE’S MOST IMPORTANT AREAS AND OLDEST JEWISH SETTLEMENTS SUCH AS DAGANIA. HE CITED EXCLUSION OF JERUSALEM AND HEBRON, CHARGING THE ACTION WAS “ROBBING US OF THE CITIES OF OUR PAST.” HE APPEALED TO BRITAIN TO FULFILL AND HONOR HER OBLIGATIONS TO THE JEWS.
