The Silver Jubilee of King George was celebrated here today with the formal opening of a street named after the King.
Thousands participated in the ceremony, at which Meier Dizengoff, Mayor of Tel Aviv, officiated. The municipal council of Tel Aviv sent its greetings to the King on this occasion.
In Jaffa one of the local squares was renamed after King George.
