Some 5, 000 jobless workers, demanding jobs, took part in an orderly demonstration under sponsorship of workers committees and the Mapam Party. After the formal demonstration ended, a group of several hundred of the demonstrators made a dash toward Tel Aviv’s new glass-sheathed municipal building where they began throwing stones at the building. Police then moved in. Twenty persons were injured. Only three of them, all policemen, remained in the hospital today.
