Eleven participants in the riotous demonstration here last night of unemployed workers were detained and questioned today at police headquarters. They were then released pending a decision on whether they would be prosecuted.

Some 5, 000 jobless workers, demanding jobs, took part in an orderly demonstration under sponsorship of workers committees and the Mapam Party. After the formal demonstration ended, a group of several hundred of the demonstrators made a dash toward Tel Aviv’s new glass-sheathed municipal building where they began throwing stones at the building. Police then moved in. Twenty persons were injured. Only three of them, all policemen, remained in the hospital today.
