The municipality of Tel Aviv has assigned the sum of five thousand pounds to be expended in the building of inexpensive homes in this city for Jewish refugees from Germany.

Jewish physicians in this vicinity are making every effort to persuade Dr. Halberstatt, famous German Jewish scientist and formerly director of Berlin’s Radium Institute, who is now here on a visit, to remain and open an institute here. This, they believe, would make Palestine into a medical center for the entire East.
