Tel Aviv to Have Technical School

A technological institute, including mechanical and chemistry departments, will be opened in Tel Aviv beginning with the school term 1934-35. German Jewish and other European professors and scientists will be faculty members.

Secondary school graduation is a necessary admission qualification. There will be a four-year course and graduates will receive a technological engineer’s diploma.

The organizing committee consists of M. Dizengoff, Mayor of this city, as chairman; and I. Rokach, I. Rosenfeld, A. Shenkar, I. Tuwim, I. Seidener, M. E. A. Guth, S. Tolkowsky, Dr. A. Kastelian-Kasteliansky, and L. Policansky, prominent Jewish merchants, engineers and residents, as members.
