Tel Aviv University will open its fall term next week with a record enrollment of 8,000 students, 1,300 more than last year. The University turned down 1000 applicants because of lack of space, officials said.
Dr. George S. Wise, reelected president of the University at a meeting of its board of governors, called for more contributions to enable the University to expand. He spoke at ground-breaking ceremonies for the new Peretz Naftali Social Science building. Dr. H. Shiba was nominated vice-chairman.
