The problem of presenting religious training in so interesting a fashion that it will attract American youth to the temple, was discussed by the Executive Board of the National Federation of Temple Sisterhoods which closed its annual meeting at the Congress Hotel yesterday.
“Modern education methods have proved that religious education can be imparted more effectively by interesting presentation than by the old process,” declared Mrs. Maurice Steinfeld, chairman of the National Committee on Student Welfare, in presenting her annual report.
The Board voted adherence to the National Committee of Organizations interested in working among Jewish students and to the Committee on Friendly Relations, a national clearing house of Jewish women’s organizations.
Mrs. Walter J. Freiberg of Cincinnati, president of the National Federation of Temple Sisterhoods, addressed a joint meeting of the Chicago Temple Sisterhoods held under the auspices of the Washington Boulevard Temple Sisterhood and the Temple Judea Women’s Club at the Washington Boulevard Temple Community House.
