The Syrians specifically object to a nine-mile canal now being### workmen to bring water from the Jordan to a power station to be ### end of Lake Kinneret. The new channel, built about one and a qua### present river bed of the Jordan, will divert only a small portion o### permit most of the water to continue along its historic course.
