Interviewed by the Jewish Daily Bulletin, Mr. McCormack indicated he would recommend stringent immigration laws to Congress to curb Hitlerism in the United States.

He said that until now the committee has been mainly concerned with gathering evidence and has not yet begun considering remedial measures.

“Of course I can’t speak for the whole committee,” he said, “but one method of halting Nazi propaganda that I’m thinking of is restriction of immigration.”

He expressed the opinion that publicity attending the Congressional investigation has discouraged the spread of Hitlerism in the United States.

With the Nazi probe completed, the committee yesterday turned its attention to an investigation of Communistic activities.
