Israeli security forces have nabbed a terrorist cell operating in the West Bank whose members allegedly planned to kidnap Israeli soldiers and civilians in the Petach Tikva area, on orders from abroad.
Members of the cell also are linked to the brutal beating of Moshe Zecharia, an Israeli tombstone contractor, in the cemetery at Rosh Ha’ayin last January.
The cell operated out of Deir Balut village in the Samaria region of the West Bank, security sources said.
Two of its members are believed to have been recruited as long as 10 years ago by Al Fatah, the largest faction of the Palestine Liberation Organization.
