More than 50 Blacks and whites, Catholics and Protestants, conducted a prayer vigil of thanksgiving and intercession opposite the Soviet Embassy Sunday and presented “Easter lilies and matzohs of hope” to the Embassy on behalf of Soviet Jews and Christians. Congregations of the Metropolitan AME Church and the Luther Place Memorial Church and members of the Roman Catholic community participated in the service.
