The 15th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Battle will be observed in Prague this week under the joint sponsorship of the Prague Jewish Community and the Council of Jewish Communities of Bohemia and Moravia, it was reported here today.
The main commemoration meeting will be addressed by Berl Mark, director of the Jewish Historical Institute of Warsaw. A film made in the ghetto will be shown, poetry and songs will be recited and sung. The April edition of “World Literature,” a monthly publication for Czechoslovak authors, features anti-fascist poems by Vladimir Szlengel, a Jewish writer who died fighting in the ghetto uprising.
