The $3,500,000 Building Fund Campaign of the Philadelphia Federation of Jewish Charities will be launched on Jan. 17.
Of the $3,500,000 to be raised, the sum of $1,300,000 will be devoted to providing adequate educational facilities for the Jewish youth of Philadelphia. The entire sum will be used to erect five modern school buildings in as many sections of the city and one larger community center to replace the dwelling houses now in use as school houses.
In addition the sum of $500,000 is to be used to pay off the mortgage on the Young Men’s, Young Women’s Hebrew Association Building, erected last year. Jules E. Mastbaum is chairman of the campaign.
