The American Jewish Committee signed an association agreement with the umbrella body for Peruvian Jewry. The agreement with the Associacion Judia del Peru was signed this week. “We established our Institute on Latino and Latin American Affairs to expand our outreach to this important region, and now we are delighted to cement our close, cooperative relationship with Peru’s Jewish community,” said David Harris, the AJC’s executive director. Earlier this week, the AJC signed a similar agreement with the umbrella organization of Chilean Jewry. The group also has association agreements with organizations in Argentina, Australia, Bulgaria, Costa Rica, the Czech Republic, Mexico, Morocco, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey and Venezuela, as well as with the European Council of Jewish Communities and the European Union of Jewish Students.
