The American Jewish Congress froze its appointment of Israeli diplomat Alon Pinkas as CEO. Last week’s appointment of the former consul general in New York stirred controversy due to an Israeli Foreign Ministry contract that bars diplomats from working in the country of their posting, and for any group with which they had contact, for two years after their tenure.
