— The American Jewish Congress has been asked by the government of Morocco to co-sponsor and assist in the organization of an international conference on Maimonides, the 12th Century Jewish sage and philosopher, Henry Siegman, executive director of the Congress announced. The unprecedented joint venture of a major American Jewish organization and an Arab government will take place in Fez, Morocco, next year.
