The American Jewish Congress joined a coalition calling for a U.S. appeals court to overturn a decision upholding a clergy-only counseling program in a Texas school district. The Beaumont Independent School District violated the constitutional guarantee separating church and state when it instituted a clergy-only student counseling program, the AJCongress and its partner agencies maintain in a friend-of-the-court brief.
