The Anti-Defamation League blasted anti-Arab comments by two senior Likud Party members. “We are appalled by the offensive and inane stereotypical comments about Palestinians made by Deputy Minister of Defense Ze’ev Boim and parroted by Likud Knesset Member Yehiel Hazan,” said a statement by the ADL’s Israel office on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Boim suggested in a radio interview that Palestinian terrorism was the result of “a cultural shortfall or genetic fault.” Later that day, Hazan told Knesset reporters that the murder of Jews is “natural” for Arabs. The comments also provoked outrage among members of Israel’s political opposition.
