The Anti-Defamation League is backing a congressional resolution condemning bigotry against Arab Americans and Muslims. “In the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the frequency of hate crimes against these groups has increased dramatically and our message must be consistent and clear — no one should be singled out for hatred, prejudice or blame because of his or her ethnicity, national origin or religion,” the ADL’s national director, Abraham Foxman, wrote in a letter to Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.), the speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.
