The Anti-Defamation League welcomed the arrest of a Ku Klux Klan leader charged with the 1964 killing of three civil rights activists. The arrest of Edgar Ray Killen, charged with killing Michael Schwerner and Andrew Goodman, who were Jewish, and James Chaney as they worked to register black voters in Mississippi “has been a long time coming,” the ADL wrote in a statement.
