The Arab League called for international pressure to force Israel to abide by its peace agreements with the Palestinians. The league’s ministers asked the United States, Britain, France, Russia and China to pressure the Jewish state to resume negotiations with the Palestinian Authority, sources at the two-day meeting in Cairo were quoted as saying. The 22-nation group also condemned Israel for changing the status of Jerusalem and the Golan Heights.
