The Arab League is threatening to boycott the Burger King restaurant chain for opening a fast-food branch in the Jewish settlement of Ma’aleh Adumim several weeks ago. The league said Sunday it is awaiting the outcome of negotiations between Burger King and a U.S. Muslim group, which last week called for the boycott. Meanwhile, the mayor of Ma’aleh Adumim, Benny Kashriel, said such a move could harm Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations.
