The attack upon Jewish worshippers in an improvised synagogue on Sperlstrasse last night occurred as the evening prayers were being recited which marked the conclusion of the Rosh Hashanah services, the police report issued today establishes.
Three Nazis who participated in the attack were remanded for trial by the country court on charges of provoking religious disturbances.
Simultaneously the police department expresses doubt that there is any authenticity to the Nazi charges that they were provoked to attack after shots had been fired at them from the cafe which served as a synagogue.
