Ami Ayalon, a former head of Israel’s Shin Bet security service, who leads the People’s Voice for Peace grass-roots campaign, sent a letter to top members of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s Likud Party urging them to accept a peace proposal he formulated with Palestinian intellectual Sari Nusseibeh.
