The Belgian Senate approved a watered-down version of a war-crimes bill. The law drops the “universal jurisdiction” portion of a previous law that saw war crimes lawsuits — with no connection to Belgium — pressed against world leaders such as Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, President Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair, The Associated Press reported.
