The Berliner Tageblatt in an editorial today attacks General Ludendorff’s recent anti-Semit statement before the treason court in Munich, as a desecration of the grave of Jewish soldiers who gave their lives at his command. The Tageblatt reports that the Vatican has submitted to the Berlin Government a diplomatic protest note, concerning Ludendorff’s attack on
the Catholic Church. The Vatican, the report states, is issuing a proclamation to German Catholics, condemning Ludendorff. A conference of Catholic Bishops will be convoked shortly for the same purpose.
