The Berne Trial

The trial which opens tomorrow in Berne will be watched by Jews all over the world with no less interest than the Dreyfuss trials were watched during their times.

This trial, let us hope, will once and forever put an end to the myth exploited by anti-Semites in all countries about the alleged existence of a secret Jewish international. It will show to the world that the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” are nothing but a forgery. It will once and forever destroy the basis upon which the Nazis in Germany are now building their entire anti-Semitic propaganda.

The Jewish leaders in Switzerland ought to be congratulated for instituting this trial. By bringing their libel suit against the Swiss Nazi editor for alleging that the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” are an authentic document, these Jewish leaders of Switzerland are actually fighting the cause of entire world Jewry.

The Jews of the world, no less than the involved Jewish leaders of Switzerland, are interested in proving to the world that the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” are the product of a sick phantasy; that no secret Jewish international ever existed; that all the talk about Jewish efforts to dominate the world is mere nonsense.

A recent trial in South Africa has already branded the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” as a forgery. South Africa, however, is too distant from Europe and America. The echo of the trial in South Africa could therefore not be as strong as the one which will now come from Berne, a city located in the very heart of Europe.

That the Jews will come out victorious in this trial is quite clear to every logically thinking person who knows that the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” are a falsification.
