The bi-annual convention of the Central Union of German Citrines of the Jewish Faith was opened here yesterday in the presence of ## delegates. Dr. Brodnitz presided over the sessions.
According to a report submitted by Samuel Weiner, secretary of the Central Union the organization is composed of ## state federations which embrace ## local organizations.
Interesting opinions with regard to the part played by Jews in Europe and the United States in the economic life of the countries were presented by Professor Hirsch, who submitted a paper on the Jew’s role in the world’s economic life. The speaker recently returned from the United States. He frond there business methods that were superior to those in Europe. The speaker praised the business initiative of American Jews who, he stated play in important role in the new conception of the world’s business. The Jews of America are not an isolated group in the business field but are marching ahead in the interest of all humanity.
