The birth of the worldwide Jewish theater 100 years ago will be celebrated in Rumania with a series of performances of the great classics of Yiddish drama, the Rumesion National Tourist Office here announced. The Jewish State Theater of Bucharest will observe the centennial from Aug. 10-19 with successive performances from plays by Sholom Aleichem, Ansky, Lessing and Bercovici.
