The Board of Deputies of British Jews warned the British government that Arab countries are trying to “hijack” an upcoming U.N. conference on racism in order “to discredit and de-legitimize Israel and the very existence of a Jewish State.” Board President Jo Wagerman warned that next month’s conference in Durban, South Africa, could “produce an outcome which would be unacceptable to countries of the Western world.”
