The British government criticized Israel over the continued construction of a ‘separation fence’ to prevent Palestinian terrorists from crossing into Israel. In a series of answers released in the House of Commons, Mike O’Brien, a British government official with responsibility for the Middle East, said the fence’s construction could be damaging to peace efforts.
