The British government sought to explain how Hezbollah came into possession of British-made thermal imaging equipment in southern Lebanon. Israel discovered the equipment during fighting with Hezbollah. Following reports from Jerusalem that the Lebanese militia may have used equipment from Britain in targeting Israeli troops during the Lebanon war, the Foreign Office in London issued a clarification Sunday.
