The Central Union of German Citizens of the Jewish Faith yesterday submitted a memorandum to Deputy Reich’s Commissioner in Prussia, Dr. Bracht, protesting against the attempt upon the life of Kurt Szalay, of Koenighberg, Central Union representative.
The memorandum points out that an investigation conducted by the Central Union has disclosed that the Nazis planned “a night of the long knife” in Koenigsberg. According to their plan, the police and the fire departments were to be distracted by firing several houses, while the Nazis carried out the massacre unmolested.
