The city of Buenos Aires approved a law establishing July 18 as a memorial day for the victims of the 1994 bombing of the Jewish community center there. During future commemorations of “Memories of Horror,” flags in the Argentine capital will be flown at half staff and special texts will be read in city elementary and secondary schools. The bombing of the AMIA center killed 86 people and injured some 300 others.
