The Clinton administration actively worked against Benjamin Netanyahu’s re- election bid, a close aide to the outgoing prime minister charged. In the four months preceding the Israeli elections, “hardly a day passed without a Washington story about Netanyahu failing to keep his word,” David Bar-Illan wrote in the June 14 issue of National Review magazine.
