The commemoration of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and memorial service for the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust will be held at Temple Emanu-El Sunday even if the New York City transit strike continues. “Nothing will stop our memorial to the heroes and martyrs of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, ” it was stressed by Benjamin Meed, chairman of the United Commemoration Committee. Meed, who is also president of the Warsaw Ghetto Resistance Organization, urged those driving to the ceremony to offer rides to others. He praised the New York City police and parks departments for designating special parking areas near the temple for the ceremony. Similar ceremonies will be held throughout the country on Sunday.
