The Common Market Commission confirmed here this weekend that a “nondiscrimination clause” will be included in the recent agreements made with Mediterranean countries. The clause forbids participating countries from any discriminatory acts in EEC activities and is directed particularly at Arab countries which might boycott firms active commercially with Israel. The clause is already included in EEC agreements with Egypt and Lebanon. It is also envisaged for the agreement with Algeria and will be added to these of Morocco and Tunisia when they come up for re-negotiation.
