The creation of a Palestinian state is possible within two years if the Palestinians “clamp down on terrorism,” U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell said. “A Palestinian state, when it’s created, must be a real state, not a phony state that’s diced into a thousand different pieces,” Powell said Sunday at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
