The Dalai Lama called for Israeli-Palestinian reconciliation but said it might be too early to include Hamas. “The time has come to think, to try to find a solution through dialogue based on mutual respect,” the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader said Wednesday during a Jerusalem visit. Asked if Israel should negotiate with Hamas, which has so far rejected international calls to renounce terrorism and recognize the Jewish state, the Dalai Lama said: “It is too early to say. I think, first, wait and see.”
