The day is “not far off” when the United States will have to admit that it was unable to restart the Middle East peace process, according to the U.S. State Department spokesman. James Rubin added that no talks were currently scheduled with Israeli or Palestinian leaders and that Middle East envoy Dennis Ross had no immediate plans to return to the region.
