The deadline to recoup Holocaust-era insurance claims is less than two weeks away. The International Commission for Holocaust Era Insurance Claims will stop accepting claims after Dec. 31 and hopes to conclude its mission by the end of 2004. ICHEIC and its chairman, former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger, have been accused of not working fast enough to provide payments for Holocaust survivors and their heirs.
