The dire want of the Jews in the famine-stricken region of Bessarabia, the suffering in Poland and Lithuania, were presented by Bernard B. Give, State Chairman of the United Jewish Compaign, in an appeal he sent out urging payment of pledges to the Campaign.
In his appeal the State Chairman urged campaign committees to take immediate steps against delinquents to compel them to make good on their pledges by legal action if necessary.
