The Dutch government, banks, insurance companies and stock exchange agreed to pay some $325 million to pay for property and assets looted from Jews during World War II. Rob Wurms, chairman of the Central Jewish Board of the Netherlands, said he hopes the agreement, which came after long and difficult negotiations, “will contribute to a certain feeling of healing.”
