The Dutch labor broad-casting company “Vara,” in a recent television program devoted to the plight of Israeli POWs in Syria, rapped the “Paris Match” feature alleging that the prisoners are in satisfactory condition. The TV program questioned the credibility of the French journalist’s conclusions based on interviewing seven Israeli POWs of 100 or so believed to be in Syria. The program also rapped Syria for its failure to agree to an exchange of POWs or to allow Red Cross inspection of POWs in Syria.
