The Edward Silver Chair in criminal procedure was dedicated by the Hebrew University today in the presence of Judge Edward Silver of Brooklyn, members of Israel’s Supreme Court and the ministers of justice and social welfare. President Avraham Harman of the Hebrew University hailed Judge Silver as a “distinguished jurist and Jew.” The inaugural lecture was delivered by Prof. Shalev Ginossar, the first incumbent of the Silver Chair.
