The European Union said it will consider funding an unofficial Israeli-Palestinian peace plan. Following a Monday meeting in Brussels with the principal backers of the “Geneva accord” — former Israeli Justice Minister Yossi Beilin and former Palestinian Authority minister Yasser Abed Rabbo — the external relations commissioner of the European Union, Chris Patten, said room could be found within the E.U. budget to provide “technical support” for the accord.
