The exhaustive security procedure departing passengers undergo at Israel’s Ben- Gurion Airport is unnecessary and anachronistic, Public Security Minister Shlomo Ben-Ami said. Ben-Ami added that the current practice hurts Israel’s image and is unnecessary.
