The extent to which German Jews are being intimidated is seen today in a cable received by a group of Warsaw rabbis from the Berlin Rabbi, Munk, denying altogether that the German Government has forbidden the use of the orthodox Jewish method of slaughtering.
Beside the fact that the government has definitely set May 1st as the day on which the kosher killing of animals and fowl intended for food must cease, and that the German Union of Orthodox Rabbis has called on German Jews not to eat meats, it is also known here that German Jews have for some time been facing a shortage of kosher meats and poultry.
