The families of three captured Israeli soldiers urged the Jewish Agency for Israel’s board of governors to keep their cause in the public eye. Karnit Goldwasser, whose husband, Ehud, was captured by Hezbollah in July, came Tuesday to the last day of the board meeting in Jerusalem, together with the families of Eldad Regev and Gilad Shalit. Regev also was captured by Hezbollah in July; Shalit was captured by Palestinian gunmen in June. Karnit Goldwasser urged the group to keep lobbying for the release of the captured soldiers. Meanwhile, Noam Shalit, Gilad’s father, told Army Radio that the government does not keep the families updated on its efforts to bring them back to Israel. The Prime Minister’s Office denied the charge.
